Water resource management in web application
 

The most striking indicators of climate change are to be found in the fields of water resource management, the preservation of our water qualities and the recognition and management of our boundaries. We have to be ready to handle effects of climate change in order to be able to intervene at the right place and time. 
 
As a consequence of the above-mentioned, the Hungarian water management directorates with the help of an appropriate software model the water flows and receive up-to-date information for the appropriate water resource management.
 
The web-based application displays the data that are entered and derived from the territorial modelling of the water management directorates in a common, and unified platform. In this way, the information will be widely available to the eligible users without the need to run the special modelling software.
 
In addition to displaying, the software makes it possible to browse, search, and export the data for preparing additional analyses and reports.


JÉGER Android application
 
Within the framework of the Hungarian hail damage repelling project, 986 ground generators were installed in a 10x10 km grid-network out of which 764 pcs are controlled manually and being mainly operated by farmers.
 
The operators receive hail storm forecasts, starting and shut-down messages from the central webSCADA process control system via a specifically developed Android application. An acknowledgment notice is sent to the dispatch centre about the receival of the messages and the execution of the tasks, hence the actual status of generators can be also continuously monitored.
 
A supplementary service feature is that the application allows the operators to send information to the control centre about the parameters of the occurring hail storm.

 


National Handball Academy (NEKA)


During its development, a unique IT application was created that supports the work of the Academy. The system helps to make decisions that are related to the selection of athletes, to track their development and to compare their individual and team work performance. It supports the preparation of queries and reports from the collected data.
