Unfortunately, we didn’t have to wait long for the first deployment of HWTC emergency water treatment unit. The Philippines has been hit by several deadly typhoons in recent weeks, hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced, and an accurate assessment of material damage is still ongoing. After a successful commissioning and test operation in October, the equipment was delivered to Catanduanes in early November using a military transport aircraft. No drinking water was available at the site, so the technology was used to produce healthy and safe drinking water from a river by the operation team of the Natural Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. The drinking water was distributed to the local population by the Red Cross. We hope that our technological solutions can contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of local residents, especially in the event of disaster situations.
